Missouri Veterinary Technician’s Association 2017 Veterinary Technician Student Scholarship
The MVTA will award one $200.00 scholarship to an outstanding veterinary technician student who supports our mission and shows leadership in the field of veterinary technology.
Student must be currently enrolled full-time in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program. The college the student is attending must be located in the state of Missouri. Student must be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Applicationmust be completed and will consist of the following:
Applicants’ full name
Expected month and year of graduation
Name of school attending
In addition to application, candidates must submit a 500 word essay detailing ONE of the following subjects:
Describe where they you see yourself in 3 years and how you plan to attain those goals.
Other than a love for animals, what lead you to choose veterinary technology as a career path?
Name a person who has mentored you or otherwise encouraged and supported you in your journey to become a registered veterinary technician; give specific examples.
Essay can be typed or hand written, but must be legible.
The scholarship committee will make the final decision with considerations for content, spelling and grammar, and no members of such committee shall be affiliated with veterinary technology schools located in the state of Missouri.
All applications and essays must be postmarked no later than September 16, 2017 to the address below. The winner will be notified by September 30, 2017.
